  • New Fridley dance studio starts classes – “Sun Focus Today” – Tuesday, Oct. 6

    April 6th, 2010 by RLove.us Admin

Classes have finally started at the ‘nmotion Dance Center, located at 7950 University Avenue NE in Fridley. Originally set to start in September, classes were delayed until Oct. 1, due to extensive interior remodeling. Let’s take a look at the finished studio with Program Assistant Mandy Meisner. For more information about the center, classes and schedules, visit the center’s website at www.nmotiondancecenter.com or call dance center director Sarah Barnett at 763-571-6180. A Spring Lake Park woman will be recognized this Thursday for her service and volunteerism to the University of Minnesota. During homecoming week, Barbara Stephens Foster, along with 11 other University of Minnesota alumni, will receive an Alumni Service Award at a celebration on Oct. 8. A resident of Spring Lake Park since 2000, Stephens Foster retired in 1999 after working for the university’s General College for 34 years, which is now closed. Some of her volunteer activities include working with the Family Tree Clinic in St. Paul and the annual Wastebasket Revue, a variety show that raises scholarship money for graduating Osseo School District seniors. www.mnsun.com/ch
