  • Do you have to know Spanish to join the border patrol?

    May 1st, 2010 by RLove.us Admin

I always notice on the news that border patrol agents are usually of Hispanic origin while the Minutemen are usually of American (Anglo-Saxon) ancestry.

By brother is learning Spanish (I guess that he thinks he’s not smart enough for French) and I am trying to find something where he could make use of it. I know that the Minutemen are volunteer but maybe he could use his Spanish helping the Minutemen.

Otherwise, he’d have to work in housekeeping in a hotel. He is getting his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management at UNLV in Las Vegas. He should be taking something more useful.

Don’t bash your brother on Yahoo answers. Damn. As for the question even minutemen know a little bit of spanish I saw a documentary on it. And yeah I think that you would have to know some how are you going to get things across to the illegals they don’t know english. Border patrol are not only of Hispanic origin there are whites also and even african american. Where are you getting your information from.
I lived in the valley at one time. In terms for you to understand Texas down by the Rio Grande. So thats how i know.

This isn’t answering your question. . . But, Spanish and French are equally hard to learn. And Spanish can be used elsewhere than cleaning hotels. Do you need to be reminded that Spanish is a European language?
Spanish is a useful language as more people speak it than French. . . You know. . . the majority of South America, which are not all poor little 3rd world countries.

Saw you last questtion. How long is this prejudice attitude going to go on.

Sounds like you could use some education.

You’re the one for the housekeeping . . . you need to get down on your knees or someone should put you “down” on your knees.

Your’re an ugly predujice jerk who doesn’t deserve to live in The United States of America.

Keep you mouth shut. You know nothing. I spit on you.

I graduated from UNLV’s Hotel Program and I am quite successful, so your last sentence is lame.

As for knowing spanish you do not have to know if you are a border patrol, but it is recommended, unless you go NORTH TO THE OTHER BORDER. Duh!!!

Then again I am a UNLV grad, so don’t take it from me.
