  • M? Want work f? R is an international relief organization Emergency great on my resume?

    October 15th, 2010 by RLove.us Admin

I am debating if I should volunteer/work for an international aid relief agency, or should I start my career right away. I am 23, and will be spending the next year or so in Beijing to become fluent in Mandarin. I feel this will greatly enhance my ability to find a job. The only hiccup I have is that I sometimes get this nagging feeling inside of me to work for a positive change for the world. I would not want to make my life of it, but for a year or so. I am already delaying starting my career by about two years by going to learn Mandarin, so I’m wondering if I should delay my career even more by doing aid relief work. Any insights?
Thanks for your response. Perhaps I should clarify something. I do not want a career in international aid relief. I always pictured myself more in a business/finance career. That is why I was wondering if volunteering or taking some time off to work for an NGO would delay my “real” career.
