  • Loneliness could kill you

    As the title of this article get straight to the point, loneliness could kill you. This article begins that in North America we glorify being independent and see it as a symbol of strength. As young adults this may be true but as you become and older adult does that independent mentality lead us towards a lonely path as well? According to the article loneliness can shorten your life span by 2 times as much as obesity. Dr. John Cacioppo mentions that being lonely is not associated with the amount of people in your life but the feeling of being lonely that can have negative affects on your health. He also uses the body’s sense of being hungry as a way of viewing the body’s natural reaction to loneliness.
