Its a Small World by Kids from Shishu Mandir

    February 9th, 2010

We visited Shishu Mandir KR Puram, Bangalore as a part of the Sun Volunteer Week. www.shishumandir.com The kids sang to us "Its a Small World" by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman Lyrics: It's a world of laughter, A world of tears. It's a world of hopes, And a world of fears. There's so much that we share, That it's time we're aware, It's a small world after all. Chorus: It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world. There is just one moon, And one golden sun. And a smile means, Friendship to every one. Though the mountains divide, And the oceans are wide, It's a small world after all. Chorus: It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world.

Inn From The Cold – Kelowna (one minute promo)

    February 7th, 2010

Inn From The Cold Kelowna offers emergency shelter to homeless people in the coldest months of the year. It has been in existence in Kelowna for about ten years, now, and until about a year ago operated in local church spaces. With their own space, it means more opportunity to help, but it also means more maintenance and property costs to the organization. Volunteers keep the shelter running every night through the four months that Inn From The Cold operates in Kelowna; a paid volunteer co-ordinator helps keep the program running smoothly.
