I am an elementary school teacher in the States and want to use my summers to teach abroad. I have searched and searched online, but many of the programs I’ve found require pricey placement fees and certificates in TESOL/TEFL (which I’m not even sure is necessary). I’m not looking to make any money- just want to travel, learn Spanish, and donate my time. If anyone has had experience volunteering and teaching students abroad, I’d appreciate your input. While I am able to find several programs that include room & board, I am unable to find a program that INCLUDES the cost of airfare.

Could anybody suggest programs that include ALL expenses, especially airfare. I am interested in travelling to Africa or Asia, particularly to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, India, or Thailand.

I want to participate in volunteer activities outside the country that I live in right now (Yemen). I am not a European or American citizen and I have no idea about the possibility for a person have the nationality of a third-nation country to participate at any volunteer forum or activity out the borders of his or her region.
