I have been interested in volunteering for different programs overseas. It seems that some require certain experience, and it seems all of them require you to pay a fee. I have nothing against paying a fee, as it goes towards the program, but I am very poor myself. I currently live off of disability due to a visual impairment, so I struggle financially myself. But I have always had a passion for helping people in various way. I have wanted to do this for a while, but it’s sad that I can’t do it because I’m too poor. I know the money helps, but all I can really do is volunteer my time, not my money. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am a university student looking to volunteer in a hospital that is mainly for older patients, I have two options, either to work in Rehab settings or in patient care, I don’t really know what the difference in responsibilities would be like but the volunteering assistant I spoke with said that the rehab setting is more of a group-work kind of thing, while patient care is more an individual responsibility, I plan to apply to nursing and/or physical therapy schools later, so what setting (rehab or patient care) do you think I should choose ?

Hi. I’m a current volunteer at a wildlife rehab center here in California. I am moving to Orland Park Illinois this summer. I would like to continue working with wildlife, however I am having a hard time finding a place to volunteer. I have written several email to different organizations but have not gotten any responses. Can somebody out there help me with this? A name…phone number or email address of a wildlife care center would be great. Any suggestions?

I am 15 and I am looking for opportunities to go to other counties over the summer. Like I could volunteer or something. I found one program that would let me go to Spain and help teach english to other teens. It is free, except for plane expenses. Anything like that? I dont care where it is to.
